ABOUT STOP DEBT COLLECTORS
This blog is provided as a service to victimized consumers who have been treated in an abusive manner by debt collectors in their attempts to collect past due accounts. Even if you owe the debt, you can put an end to the harassment by utilizing the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act to protect your rights! Don’t just take it…..fight back!

I am being harassed with telephone calls and I don’t owe a dime.
I am 90 years old. I always paid everything promptly. They leave a phone number to call. It was a basement operation.
I think they have someone else in mind as when we first moved
here they asked for someone by name. Now they ask to be called. I won’t call.

This could be a violation of your fair debt rights. Have you spoken to a lawyer? I would recommend Debt Help Lawyers. They will listen to your situation and tell you if you have a valid case. And once you have a lawyer on your side, it’s against the law for debt collectors to contact you directly.

My 36 year old nephew is in debt. Collectors have my phone. They call endlessly. I have told them dozens of times I am not him. He does not live with me. Not even in the same town. My cell is a business phone so I have to answer it. His debt is none of my business. How do I make them stop.

The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act prohibits debt collectors from calling friends or relatives about a consumer’s debt, especially if you’ve requested they stop contacting you and the calls continue. If the debt collector commits such a violation you could be entitled to up to $1,000, plus actual damages, plus your reasonable attorney fees and court costs paid by the collector.
Our attorneys may be able to help you stop these annoying calls, as we have helped numerous other consumers with the same issue. We can be reached at 888-595-9111 for a free attorney consultation!
